out of the woods
This is my latest project. More pictures below. This is my Largest Pine Needle Bear yet. I started this bear early October in 2011. It's been a long winter making this bear. This bear is woven from pine needles and stands a little undr 8 foot high. My garage rafters got in the way of making him bigger. I carved all his features from wood. His eyes, nose, mouth, claws and paws. I used different scrap wire to build the bears shape and then weave the needles. Gathering, sorting, washing hundreds of thousands of needles by hand. Short, curved, and broken ones were tossed aside to start the fire in the wood stove. Idaho can get mighty cold and my shop does not hold heat well.
I hope you enjoy him. If so, maybe you can pass this on to your family and friends. I would like this to reach as many people as possible. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and admire my work. I hope you will share.
God Bless
